Theme Update
Before updating, check your current theme version. If you are using a version older than 2.0, you’ll need to update it with the legacy theme.
When you download the theme package from ThemeForest, you will find two folders:
- “Huda-2.0-for-new-customers” – for new customers.
- “Huda-Legacy-Update-for-old-customers” – for existing users updating from an older version.
The latest legacy theme version is 1.8.6.
Steps to Update Your Theme
Step 1:
Download the huda-themeforest-package.zip file from ThemeForest and extract it.
Step 2:
From your WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes and click on the “Add New Theme” button at the top of the page.
Step 3:
Click on the “Upload Theme” button, then select “Choose File.”
Step 4:
If you are updating from an older version of the theme, select the “Huda.zip” file.
Step 5:
Click on the “Install Now” button.
Step 6:
Once the installation is complete, click on the “Replace active with uploaded” button to finalize the update.
How to Check Your Current Theme Version
To check your theme’s current version:
- Go to Appearance > Themes from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Find the previously installed Huda theme.
- Hover over the theme and click on “Theme Details”.
- A pop-up will appear, displaying the version number next to the theme name.
